That Moment When...

Fabric has been prewashed and prepped, design has been chosen, garment has been tied and dyed, batching process is complete, rinsing has commenced, ties have come off, and now... that first look inside, that first preview of your creation! This is my favorite part! Did we reach saturation through and through? Are the colors as vibrant as we had hoped? Were our ties tight enough but not so tight as to prevent dye penetration? All questions begin to be answered in this moment.

What a rush when all things you planned for show themselves to be successful! I never know how to react in this moment. Should I go slow and make the moment last? Yes, but... I'm so excited I just want to rip it open as quickly as possible! And then... and then after the moment is said and done and the reveal is complete, I can't help but want to get to work on the next one! Let's do that again! So very satisfying! Reveal time, Hippie Christmas... whatever you want to call it, it sure is fun and very, very rewarding!
